Earth Day is Monday, April 22 and our Sustainability team is hosting events throughout the week to celebrate.

Not only that, but all month long you can play Sustainability Bingo—and be entered to win a prize! Simply download the Earth Day Bingo card, complete it by April 28 and send it along with a picture of you completing one of the activities to mcsotelo@carilionclinic.org.

CRMH Earth Day Fair

Monday, April 22, 6:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Stop by and learn about the many ways our organization promotes environmental health. Our Sustainability team will be on hand with games and prizes, free tree seedlings while supplies last, information about our first greenhouse gas accounting and more.

You can even bring small electronics from home—your personal cell phones, tablets, laptops and cables—for safe, secure recycling!

In honor of Earth Day, consider taking the employee shuttle or the Star Line if you’re coming from another facility!

Campus Cleanup

Friday, April 26, 12-1 p.m. (or anytime!)

On Friday, April 26 go outside your office (or home office!) and participate in a Carilion-wide cleanup. Grab a trash bag and some gloves (either gardening or medical exam gloves) and walk around the area to pick up any trash you find. Participants at CRMH are invited to meet at the pedestrian bridge—supplies will be provided!

Whether you participate in the cleanup at noon Friday or another time during the week, send a picture of your efforts to mcsotelo@carilionclinic.org to be entered into a drawing for a prize!
