A Celebration of Commitment to preventing Hospital Acquired Infections at CFMH

Submitted by txmccown on

ICU and ACS at CFMH have big things to celebrate. These units are Celebrating Years of No Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections!

What a wonderful reason to celebrate the work the staff at CFMH are doing! Staff at Franklin Memorial are working diligently to prevent Hospital Acquired Infections. This celebration is focused on our prevention of Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections!

It has been 9 years since we have had a Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infection (CLABSI) in our ICU

It has been 6 years since we have had a CLABSI in our ACS

This is AMAZING work and we want to provide recognition and celebrate this work and commitment to excellent care preventing HAIs.

A few other accomplishments we have had at Franklin Memorial in the Prevention of Hospital Acquired Infections are as follows:

CFMH has never had a Ventilator Associated Event

It has been 2 years since our last Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection on any of our inpatient areas.

These successes are contributed to the excellent care provided by everyone that comes in contact with our patients. It takes everyone at our hospital to make this happen from our Infection Preventionist and EVS staff doing an excellent job ensuring our rooms are clean to the Nursing Staff and Ancillary staff from all areas of the hospital.
