Lori Price, Panelist, Opioid Epidemic in Healthcare

Lori Price RN, 10M SPCU, had the honor of being a panelist at the Virginia Nursing Association conference April 20, 2018, discussing the opioid epidemic and impact on healthcare. As a healthcare professional with 23 years of experience, Lori shared her perspective of the impact on bedside nursing. In the panel, Lori discussed treating pain patients with history of opioid abuse and alternative therapies used at Carilion to manage pain in this population. She also spoke on the importance of avoiding bias in patients with pain medication addiction. Excellent work Lori-thank you for representing Carilion and for sharing your insight!
