Service Awards
Introduction
As a way of honoring you and your coworkers for your years of service, service awards are sent on a quarterly basis and mailed directly to your home.

About Service Awards
You first begin receiving service awards after one year of continuous employment, followed by three years of continuous employment, five years of continuous employment and every five years thereafter.
The service award process works like this:
- Employees celebrating one year of continuous service will receive a recognition certificate.
- Employees celebrating three years of continuous service will receive a recognition certificate and small token of appreciation.
- Employees celebrating five years of continuous service will receive a recognition certificate and Carilion lapel pin.
- Employees celebrating 10 years or more of service will receive a recognition certificate. An email will be sent to the employee’s Carilion email address with instructions on how to order a gift from the online gift catalog. The email will include a link which will take the employee to the Applause hub, where they will be able to choose their recognition gift.
- Certificates and recognition gifts will be shipped to the employees’ homes.
In addition, each year we publicly recognize our service award recipients during organization-wide activities. These events often include awards ceremonies and celebration events at all of our facilities.
