CRMH Recieves National Certification Champion Award from BCEN

The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing presented CRMH with the National Certification Champion Award at a celebration on November 2, 2023.

Our System CNO, Tami Frost accepted the award on behalf of all Carilion's certified nurses with a special thanks given to Lori Price and Ellen Harvey who spearheaded a "TCRN Study Group" for staff of 9 & 10 MTN ICU/PCU's. Mrs. Frost stated that "These two provided a judgement-free space for the development and education of nurses within several of our designated inpatient trauma areas. This innovative approach to learning, which occurred over an 8-month period, has led to successful certification completion. It’s certainly something we will continue to promote"

Credit for this award also goes out to our Emergency Department, Trauma Services, and LifeGuard who have many BCEN certified nurses.  Several staff members and their leadership teams attended the celebration.
