Forbes Names Carilion Among America's Best Employers by State
Carilion has been named to the Forbes fifth annual list of America's Best Employers by State. According to its website, Forbes worked with a market research firm to survey 70,000 workers at companies with at least 500 workers in all 50 states, asking participants to assess their employers.
Employees were asked if they would recommend their employer to others, and to evaluate their employer based on working conditions, diversity, total rewards, potential for development, company image and more. Participants also assessed employers beyond their own.
The number of companies on each state’s list varied by the size of its companies and workforce. Ultimately, a total of 1392 organizations made at least one state list, with 269 ranking in multiple states.
