Quit for Life Tobacco Cessation Program
The Free and Clear Quit for Life program has been helping people quit smoking and using tobacco products for nearly 20 years. As a Carilion employee, the program is available to you, your spouse and adult dependent children at no cost. You may start the program at any time and your participation is confidential.
Free and Clear offers you: One-on-one phone-based sessions scheduled at your convenience. Unlimited toll-free telephone access to quit coaches for the duration of your participation in the program. Recommendations for medications like the nicotine patch, gum or bupropion. Delivery of recommended nicotine replacement products, such as patches, gum or lozenges. A “Quit Kit” of materials designed to help you stay on track between calls. You may enroll in the Free and Clear Quit for Life Program online by going to the Quit for Life website or by calling 866-QUIT-4-LIFE (866-784-8454).
Carilion Clinic Pharmacy Tobacco Cessation Program
Carilion Clinic is pleased offer both group and individual Smoking Cessation classes. We have developed an interactive program led by our Pharmacy staff to guide you through your journey to quitting smoking.
Our program consists of virtual sessions by our pharmacist to monitor, consult and support you in reaching and maintaining your goal of quitting smoking. Each session you will speak to one of our pharmacists who will work WITH you through your individual quit journey. Throughout the program, our team will be there to provide support, prescribe cessation aids, and present you with the tools to handle challenging situations. We also stress the importance of maintaining your tobacco free status.
Benefits of the Tobacco Cessation Program include:
- Sessions available at no charge to you and your dependents on your Carilion Medical Plan
- Cost of your Nicotine Replacement Products will be covered at a $0 copay through your Carilion Medical Plan
- Up to 200 points Virgin Pulse points for completion of the program
