Research and Development by the Numbers
A research study, also called a clinical trial, is how we get information on the best ways to prevent disease, diagnose illness and treat patients. We have many clinical trials going on at any given time, each designed to help answer specific questions about possible new treatments or new ways of using treatments that are already available.
Clinical research is a fundamental and integral component of quality patient care, and we are committed to improving the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve. The purpose of our research is to promote excellence in the quality of care to our patients.
Our research teams continually look for new ways to strengthen existing partnerships and foster new opportunities to further our mission—and to move medicine forward. Below is a look at the collaborative work we have been able to accomplish with support from so many of you.
