CTCH Celebrates First DAISY Award Recipient

Submitted by ashonaker on

Congratulations to Samantha Richardson, RN on being the first recipient of the DAISY Award at CTCH!

Samantha was nominated by a patient who wrote:  "When Samantha (Sam) entered my room it was as if a ray of sunshine had entered my room. I could see in her eyes that this was her life’s work and that she loved helping people. She exhibited such a level of compassion towards me that I knew I wasn’t a room number to her but I was a person who needed healing. She helped me to feel the most secure in the hospital than I had ever felt before. She would patiently listen to my questions and then answer them in such a way that I knew she had my best interest at heart and that I could trust and rely upon her. If we had more nurses like Sam, I know that those who are sick would recover faster because an individual’s mindset would improve and this certainly does play a tremendous part in the physical healing of an individual because it definitely helped me!! She is very deserving to receive this award!!!!"

We are proud of Samantha for living our values and providing compassionate care to our patients.
