Roger Roper hired as Family and Community Medicine Vice President

Roger Roper has been hired as the next vice president of Family and Community Medicine. His first day will be Monday, May 22.

Roger brings more than 20 years of health care experience focusing on improving patient access, quality and population health outcomes, as well as building a healthy work culture. Most recently, he was vice president of practice operations and ambulatory surgical centers at Novocardia Health in Boston. Before that, he served as executive director for Cone Health Medical Group in Greensboro and was the chief administrative officer for Lebauer Healthcare.

Roger holds a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from East Carolina University.

“Roger is mission-driven and passionate about improving health care outcomes through prevention and delivery,” said Steve Arner, president and chief operating officer. “He also has years of experience finding strategies to increase patient access and building healthy work cultures.”

He will work alongside Dr. Michael Jeremiah, chair of Family and Community Medicine, and will focus on population health management of patients through our Family and Community Medicine and VelocityCare clinics.
