Dr. Bruce Long honored and remembered

Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital’s Endoscopy team has been dedicated to their recycling efforts for multiple years. They recently accomplished another goal of recycling 500 pounds of plastic through the Trex Soft Plastics Recycling Program and obtained another bench. This bench was placed outside of the main entrance to CRCH and is dedicated to Dr. Long. The plaque on the bench reads, “In remembrance of Dr. Long who described himself as ‘just a surgeon’ but was in fact a colossus in his field and service to his community”.

The team gathered for a group photo and reception with Dr. Long’s colleagues and family members to remember him. Thank you to the Endoscopy team for your recycling efforts and this meaningful bench dedication.
