How to Apply to YES!

HOW TO APPLY TO THE YES PROGRAM

The YES Application is now available from March 15-29. 

Please read carefully as the application for YES has multiple parts. 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Educational program supported by the YES program can be found here.
• If you are not interested in the programs listed, you will not be selected.
• Please check here, beginning March 15, and find out today if you are eligible to apply for the YES Program. 
• Application Form will be available March 15-29.
• The Application Form will require completion of personal statement  
• The application form will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete
• Please keep in mind you will not be able to save responses and/or return to the form to edit once you have submitted
• Please only begin/complete this form when you have personal statement ready to upload

The application packet will have multiple parts including: 

1. You Must Check if You are Eligible 

• This step is very important. If you have not done so already, please complete this quick form to check your program eligibility.  
  • This process helps to ensure that we have the information we need to guide you through the rest of the application process.
  • Please check here, beginning March 15, and find out today if you are eligible to apply for the YES Program. Please check your email for a response once a form is submitted.

2. Personal Statement 

• Personal Statement 
  • 250-500 Words Answering the Following Questions:
    • Why are you interested in the YES Program?
    • What are your career goals?
    • What obstacles have you faced furthering your education?
    • Is there anything else you would like the selection committee to know about you?
  • Have ready to upload to application form

3. Completion of Application Form 

• Application Form will be available March 15-29
• The application form will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete
• Please keep in mind you will not be able to save responses and/or return to the form to edit once you have submitted
• Please only begin/complete this form when you have personal statement ready to upload

4. One Letter of Recommendation from Carilion Supervisor

• Supervisor must email letter of recommendation directly to YES Navigator, Natasha Saunders at nnsaunders@carilionclinic.org by March 29, 2026. 

Application deadline: March 29

• Please check here, beginning March 15, and find out today if you are eligible to apply for the YES Program.
• The application cycle opens March 9 and closes March 29.
• Educational program supported by the YES program can be found here.
• A submitted application is not guaranteed approval.
• The number of approved spots will be determined each year based on our organization's needs, available funds and the number of employees completing the program.
• After you apply, your application will be reviewed by a committee.
• The committee will determine which applications are approved and you will be notified of the decision by email.
