Wow for CNRV's Inpatient Pharmacy Team

Happy Pharmacy week!  CNRV's inpatient pharmacy is an around the clock resource for safe preparation and dispensing of medications, drug information, clinical consultations, and troubleshooting.  We have a presence on our Nursing units, in the Emergency Department, and in the Internal Medicine clinic at CNRV, plus we provide after-hours care for patients at Giles, Tazewell, and Rockbridge Hospitals.  

The team at CNRV has great clinical skill, as well as logistic skills to keep medications available in patient care areas and during shortage situations.

Pharmacy has stayed on top of changes to our dispensing cabinets, new United States Pharmacopoeia compounding guidelines, and updated clinical protocols. There have been numerous changes in the past year and this team hasn't missed a step!
