Women's celebrates 2025 National Patient Safety Awareness Week

Carilion Women's celebrated National Patient Safety Awareness Week by recognizing the incredible efforts of our dedicated teams. Throughout the year, our teams have worked tirelessly to improve the safety and care of women we serve.  A few of the patient safety initiatives in Women's over the past year include Great Catch reporting, Obstetric hemorrhage prevention and response, and Maternal mental health care and screening. 

To honor their commitment, we rounded on inpatient units and in ambulatory offices. This was a special opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and dedication to ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.
