Under dosing gravity

I want to take this time to recognize our units and associated staff who are diligently and through many challenges trying to impact our falls rates. The fall prevention committee meets on a monthly  basis to discuss our rates; current and compare them to the same point in time last year. We try to discover trends and best practice for prevention. While we would like zero falls, zero major injuries is the ultimate goal of which we accomplished in August.

We have outstanding teams and they are doing some great work. Here is a synopsis:

19 units outperformed the NDNQI benchmark for 2nd Quarter FY2020: 10MI, 10MP, 10SB, 11S, 11SI, 12S, 14S, 6SIC, 7E, 7SIC, 7SPCU, 8MIC, 8MPCU, 9SPCU, 9SIC, Psych (R3, then collectively ) and R7

10 West has had a >50% reduction from May & June to July & August

The following units have improved since this point in time last year: R7 58/43, ED 69/50, 9MPCU 17/16, 9W 31/17, 8SPCU 22/20, 8MPCU 25/14, 7W 28/23 and 11W 27/23

Thank you all so much for your efforts to keep our patients safe. They have not gone unnoticed!
