The CNRVMC Dining Service's team deserves a huge applause! During my visit to CNRVMC yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to have my lunch served to me on a compostable/biodegradable plate in lieu of the traditional polystyrene/plastic container. This forward-thinking approach towards sustainability will significantly reduce the volume of polystyrene in our municipal waste stream and in turn benefit our ecosystem tremendously. Thank you Dana, Lee and the entire CNRVMC Dining Services staff for your continued support of Carilion's sustainability efforts and delivery of high quality meals for our patients, staff and visitors!
