THANK YOU 9 MTN ICU TEAM!!!

Enormous thank you to Nurse Carolyn Arnold and Dr. Patrick Dugom for their time and attentiveness to a Palliative patient in the Palliative unit today.  A patient that we received from the ICU had a bleeding event mid afternoon and when our Palliative provider reached out to the ICU team for assistance, both Carolyn and Dr. Dugom came to the patient immediately.  Both assisted the Palliative nursing team in putting an end to this patient's bleeding event by obtaining necessary supplies and equipment, teaching the Palliative staff about the procedure being performed, and expectations for care after.  Later in the evening, I reached out for assistance again from Carolyn and the ICU team and Dr. Dugom came back to the Palliative unit for a second time to provide support and ensure that the patient's bleeding event did not recur.  It was a great comfort to have their support today for this critical patient event.  Being able to reach out to the ICU team for their knowledge, skill, expertise, and support was very reassuring.  I am thankful to work alongside of colleagues who go above and beyond to ensure safe patient care is provided.  Thank you Carolyn and Dr. Dugom!!!
