Summer 2022 VISION Award Winner: Alicia Meadows, CT Imaging

Congratulations to Alicia Meadows for winning the Summer 2022 VISION award!  Alicia's peers nominated her for the awarding, citing the following exemplary display of Carilion values and VISION:

Alicia came to her Supervisor with an idea to help get some more applicants for CT which has 10+ job openings with some posted for more than a year.  Alicia, a radiation therapist by training, asked us to consider educating the senior radiation therapy students about CT.  With a struggling job market in radiation therapy she felt some of these healthcare workers might want to remain local and potentially be interested in CT.  

Alicia presented the idea. We asked her to develop a 20 minute presentation.  Alicia delivered the presentation to CT leadership and we worked with her to add and give her feedback.  Alicia then gave the presentation to the Senior class at Virginia Western Community College.  She did an amazing job at her lecture, answering questions and taking the time to invest in our future.
