Rural Health Heroes: Celebrating Our Clinics on National Rural Health Day
These photos were taken in recognition of National Rural Health Day, observed annually on the third Thursday of November. This day celebrates the “Power of Rural” by shining a spotlight on the unique strengths and challenges of rural communities—communities that often face limited access to medical facilities, provider shortages, and higher rates of chronic disease. In the face of these challenges, our rural clinic staff stand as a source of hope and healing, ensuring that patients in our most underserved areas receive compassionate, high-quality care.
This year, our Rural Health Administration team and all sixteen of our Rural Health Clinics proudly marked the occasion by wearing t-shirts featuring the 2025 theme, “Power of Rural.” Leaders of our RHC team—Colette Carver, Jessica Beverley, and Luwanna Coleman—visited each clinic to deliver baskets of goodies and, most importantly, to share heartfelt appreciation for the extraordinary work these teams do each and every day.
We are truly inspired by their dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to strengthening the health and well-being of our rural communities. Their service makes a meaningful and lasting impact, reminding us of all of the incredible power that lies within rural healthcare.
