Pre-procedural "Buffalo Hunt"

Kudos to Melissa Addington, Child Life Specialist and Teresa Parson, RN from pre-op on a phenomenal display of teamwork, commitment, and compassion!

From Lera Bayer, RN, CTL, CNOR: "We had a child today that had Global Development delays and aggressive/combative behavior.  Melissa and Teresa worked with this child and his parents throughout the entire preop process and made his transition into the precedure room and induction of anesthesia a calm and positive experience for everyone involved.  Melissa pulled out all of her toys and tricks and even placed pictures of buffalo all the way from 4 East to the procedure room so this child could have a "buffalo hunt" coming down the hallway.  This type of teamwork and commitment is why we provide such wonderful care to our pediatric patients."
