Phyllis Whitehead elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Practice
Phyllis Whitehead PhD, APRN, ACHPN, RN-BC has been elected as a Distinguished Fellow of the National Academies of Practice (NAP) in Nursing. She will be recognized at the NAP Annual Meeting and Forum via a formal induction ceremony. A Distinguished Practitioner, Scholar, or Policy Fellow within NAP is a very high honor that acknowledges outstanding achievements. NAP members work collaboratively as an interprofessional community to influence and promote national health policy, legislation, quality healthcare, and research.
Please see an earlier post by Sandy Sayre, which recognizes Dr. Cathy Jennings, who also was inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of NAP. Cathy and Phyllis are the first nurses at Carilion to hold this significant honor.
Congratulations to both Phyllis and Cathy!!!
