Outstanding Preceptor Award

On October 19th, The Nursing Center of Excellence presented the Outstanding Preceptor Award to Kim Manning, RN from 10MPCU.  Leaders from the Nursing Center of Excellence presented her with the award alongside her team members and nursing leaders. Brittany Ashwell, RN, Transition to Practice Facilitator, who submitted the nomination said that " Kim Manning is not only an outstanding employee, whom has worked for the organization for 42 years (20+ on 10MPCU), but an outstanding preceptor to new hires, nursing students, & nurse externs. She has the most positive attitude and is extremely passionate about ensuring staff are provided an excellent orientation! She is constantly teaching everyone around her about best practice, always looking up/following policies. She is always approachable, professional, and dedicated to patient care."  Kim's commitment and compassion toward not only her patients, but also to her Carilion Clinic family, deserves to be recognized and celebrated.  Congratulations!
