Outstanding Preceptor Award

On October 14th, The Nursing Center of Excellence awarded the Outstanding Preceptor Award to Jon Conti, Nuclear Medicine Technologist.  Leaders from the Nursing Center of Excellence presented him with the award alongside the Nuclear Medicine team members.  James Crowley, Imaging Services Manager, who submitted the nomination said that Jon's "body language and tone is always calm, reassuring, and comforting to staff.  Jon has worked to improve the training by learning from his peers and receiving feedback from leaders and staff to improve our performance.  His need to continue learning has been exceptional as the department goes through the addition of new procedures, therapies, new equipment, and increasing volume. "  Jon's commitment and compassion toward not only his patients, but also to his Carilion Clinic family, deserves to be recognized and celebrated.  Congratulations!
