October 18-23 is Certified Medical Assistants Week!

Please take a moment and recognize the huge contributions our Certified Medical Assistants make the Ambulatory Care offices throughout Carilion. CMAs work in almost all of the Ambulatory practices in our system - using their skills to provide the best of care and customer focused office visits to the patients we serve. Often mistaken for "nurses", CMAs work directly with physicians and use their skills and passion for patient care to facilitate many aspects of an office visit - from rooming to procedures to maintaining office records. I am personally very proud of our Carilion CMAs!
