Maimuna Jatta's contributions to Infection Prevention & Control receive national recognition by APIC
Congratulations to Maimuna Jatta, MSN, RN, CIC, CPHQ, FAPIC for two outstanding achievements!
Mai has been accepted as an APIC Fellow, a prestigious recognition awarded by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) to individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of infection prevention and control.
In addition, her oral presentation at APIC25 was selected as one of only three media features for this year’s national conference—an incredible honor that highlights the impact and innovation of the work we do at Carilion Clinic. Her APIC25 presentation was featured on Beckers, Cleaning & Maintenance Management, and Healio.
As Director of Infection Prevention and Control, Mai's outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence is an inspiration to everyone on the IPC team. These prestigious recognitions of her work by APIC are a reflection of her commitment to Carilion values. Mai has set an encouraging example to the IPC team to participate in quality improvement and research opportunities that will advance Carilion's Infection Prevention program.
