Look out for Santa's elves!

As Santa readies for his worldwide adventure Christmas Eve, he dispatched two of his elves to Roanoke Memorial Hospital this week. Volunteers Pat Steahly (left) and Sadie Hughes donned their serving aprons along with Elves' ears and Santa caps as they served up coffee, hot chocolate, other snacks and a huge side of holiday cheer! These longtime volunteers make rounds each Tuesday to the hospital's waiting rooms, providing snacks to hospital guests while family members are being treated. The Hospitality cart accepts donations, which provide scholarships for youth volunteers pursuing careers in health care. Since 2010, the cart has raised nearly $80,000 in scholarship funds!
