Lifesaving Efforts
On June 27 2024, Officer Ryan Pritts was notified by ED staff at RMH that a patient was missing, and they were concerned for their welfare. Officer Pritts checked the security camera system and discovered that the patient had gone to the rest room in an area of the ED that is not used frequently due to the construction. Officer Pritts responded and discovered the door locked and after receiving no response from anyone inside, forced the door open and discovered the patient having a medical emergency. Officer Pritts and medical staff rendered aid and the patient received the help that he needed. For his diligence, compassion and attention to duty, Officer Pritts will be awarded a Life Saving Award from CPD with our sincere admiration for his job well done.
Thank you, Officer Pritts, for performing this heroic act of lifesaving intervention. Often times our police officers are called to perform actions that involve more that law enforcement work. We are very proud of our officers for the protection and safety that they provide our staff, patients, visitors and our community.
