Ken Eades--Outstanding Preceptor Award

Submitted by csensabaugh on

Congratulations to Ken Eades in the CRCH Inpatient Rehab on winning an Outstanding Preceptor Award! Members of the Nursing Center of Excellence along with NPIFs and Transition to Nursing Practice presented the award to Ken beside his unit leaders and IPR nursing team.

Ken's nomination read:

"Ken has been precepting new Patient Care Techs for the past couple of years. He has always slowed down to take the time to explain the why’s behind what needs to be done. He is patient with his orientees and allowing them time to perform skills and ask questions. Recently we hired a new Patient Care Tech who needed extra time and attention to learn skills and work through the daily process. Every shift he worked with this orientee, he took extra time to teach her and allow them to learn at their own pace. Working on the floor is very fast paced and can be overwhelming. But he taught them at the pace that they needed to learn and led the way so they could independently take a patient load. IPR is lucky to have such a kind and supportive preceptor like Ken."

Thank you for being an Outstanding Preceptor, Ken! Your dedication to training your peers and providing quality patient care doesn't go unnoticed!
