IPC Spotlight of the Month

Maria joined Carilion Clinic July 2017 as a nurse on 8 South Radius. In October 2019, she got promoted to a CTL. She later joined the CMC IPC team in October 2020. As a nurse a leader on the frontline, Maria brings with her an in-depth understanding of challenges frontline nurses face on a daily basis navigating and balancing all aspects of patient safety. Joining the IPC team during an infectious disease pandemic was such a bold step and speaks to Maria's commitment to safety.
