IPC Spotlight of the Month

IPC is proud that Michelle Piner, IPA has been chosen by her colleagues as the team's Spotlight of the Month!

Michelle Joined Carilion in December 2001 as an outpatient pediatric nurse. In October 2020, in the midst of an infectious disease pandemic, Michelle transitioned to the IPC department as an Infection Preventionist Assistant.  She has ever since been an instrumental member of the growing team and we are so glad she chose to join us. In Michelle's own words, "this role has been an exciting, highly educating, behind-the-scenes way to keep our patients, staff, and community healthy."
