Healing Arts on Display

Submitted by lmlinger on

Carilion Clinic Foundation recently hosted an event to support the Dr. Robert L.A. Keeley Healing Arts Program and introduce the new the Artists in Residence. Artists demonstrated the use of different mediums, such as poetry, watercolor painting, and pottery, and explained how art can be used to support mental and physical healing to build healthier communities. As the new manager of the program, I was honored to share its history inspired by the values of Dr. Keeley and inform our supporters of the impactful arts initiatives that our program continues to provide. All of our programs benefit patients as well as employees by improving mental, emotional, and even spiritual well-being through art. Visit our website to learn more about these unique initiatives and pledge your support. https://www.carilionclinic.org/healing-arts#about
