Hannah Curtis and Suzanne Tyler Recognized in The Roanoker's 40 Under 40

Congratulations to Hannah Curtis and Suzanne Tyler, Carilion's two honorees in The Roanoker's latest 40 Under 40!

Hannah Curtis, our media relations consultant, was recognized for playing an integral part in our region throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Hannah works alongside health experts to advise them on how to make their voices heard. She led media efforts for our region's first mass vaccination clinic, and helped bring together major regional health systems, along with EMS agencies and VDH, to share ways the public can slow the spread of COVID-19.

Suzanne Tyler, our senior director of Infection Control and Prevention, was recognized for helping shape policy to limit exposures/transmission to patients and staff while continuing Carilion’s vision of providing top-quality care. Suzanne was recruited and promoted to Infection Control's interim director of medicine in the middle of the pandemic, and in 2021 she accepted her newly-formed current role.
