Going above and beyond

Jacob Mack works in Environmental Services. Today he saved the day! We were with a critical patient  being transferred to a higher level of care. Upon arriving to the receiving unit, it was found that the patient's room was in need of further cleaning. We had seen Jacob in the hallway while on the way to the unit and he politely held the doors for us, the patient, and all of the equipment. We went to him and asked him if he could help us. He willingly came to the unit and didn't hesitate to clean the room to enable this patient to be admitted to the unit to provide for a better patient outcome. He wasn't assigned to that area but he didn't hesitate because he saw a critical need. Jacob shows commitment and compassion in his work. I am very thankful for his help.
