Giles and Tazewell Pharmacists Recognized

Amy Westmoreland, Pharmacy Manager at CGCH and David Vance, Pharmacy Manager at CTCH were honored in April as “Preceptors of the Year” by students at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy.

Precepting students is a vital step in maintaining excellence in rural health care. Our Pharmacies offer opportunities for students from Virginia Commonwealth University and the Appalachian College of Pharmacy to complete hospital pharmacy rotations in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. CGCH Pharmacy is also committed to offering early clinical experience to VCOM medical students each year.
