Finding a dog

Recently, there was a patient who was very upset. When investigated, the patient was worried about his dog. Amber Janney, Operations Manager on 8SICU, was able to get the patient to draw the location he last left his dog. Amber reached out to Angels of Assisi to help coordinate finding the patients dog. After multiple calls, the dog was found and placed in Angels of Assisi care until the patient was discharged. The patient was then reunited with his dog - who was more excited to see his owner as much as the patient was to see his dog. This demonstrates almost every Carilion value and was above and beyond her daily duties for the unit. Amber is a great asset to our team and for our patients here at Carilion.
