Dr. Bonnie Hennig-Trestman Triumphs on the National Fencing Stage

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Bonnie Hennig-Trestman, Carilion Clinic Huntington’s Disease Director, on her outstanding achievements at the 2025 North American Cup Fencing Championship held in Kansas City this January. Dr. Hennig-Trestman’s exceptional skill and dedication earned her the national championship title for Veterans Women’s Foil in her age bracket. This remarkable accomplishment positions her strongly to represent the United States as part of the USA Veterans World Fencing Team for the fifth time—a prestigious milestone in her fencing career!

In addition to her individual success, Dr. Hennig-Trestman also showcased her collaborative prowess by earning a bronze medal in the Veterans Women’s Foil Team competition.
