Diane Riggs, RN, CDE Retires from CGCH After 41 Years!

Congratulations to Diane Riggs, RN, CDE, as she retires from CGCH after 41 years of service to Carilion Clinic! Diane has served Carilion in several different roles, including RN, ICU Manager, HR Educator, Cardiac Rehab Nurse and Diabetes Educator. She has worked primarily at CGCH, but has also worked at CNRV and CRMH as an oupatient diabetes educator. Diane has impacted the lives of hundreds of patients over the span of her career, with the majority being located in Giles County, VA and Monroe County, WV. Her service to these communities has included direct patient care, countless health fairs and community education events and a longstanding Diabetes Support Group.She will be greatly missed by her patients and colleagues, but we wish her all the best as she starts this new chapter in her life.
