Demonstrating all Five Values at Once!

4 South PACU CRMH would like to extend our appreciation to Garth from Interventional Radiology.

Garth is consistently pleasant and engaged with everyone he encounters during his work day. In a most recent example on 4 S,
 Garth was passing through and noticed one of our PACU nurses needed assistance transporting an ICU patient up to their inpatient room. All of our current RN's were tied up caring for other patients unable to assist when Garth offered to help transfer the patient upstairs at the end of his shift.  No complaints, no hesitation, just jumped in and helped  push the ICU bed upstairs. Excellent way to demonstrate our Carilion Clinic Values Garth!
He went above and beyond putting others and the patients needs above his own, gave more than expected, cared for others as they would like to be treated, supported the unity of the Carilion Team, was welcoming and engaged, supported team work, and looked for ways to improve.
