Congratulations to Whitley Nelson on winning the BEE Award!

The CMC Ancillary Council is so happy to announce that Whitley Nelson, Patient Care Technician,  won the BEE award for the month of February 2023!  The BEE Award represents the best of our CMC Ancillary Staff who contribute to the best possible care for our patients and families.  This nomination shows that Whitley went above and beyond to prevent a bad outcome for one of our patients.

Please take a moment to read her nomination story:

There was a patient who was confused and wandering around her room. The patient was ignoring the chair alarm and going through her briefs on a shelf. Whitley noticed the patient's behavior and ran into her room. Just as she went into the room, the patient started losing balance and was falling backwards. She quickly swooped into action steadying the patient and helped her correct her balance. Then she helped her with her belongings and got her back to her chair.

Whitley saved the unaware patient from what could have been a tragic fall. Luckily, thanks to Whitley's time, devotion, patience, and love for her patients she prevented a fall and potentially dangerous head injury or worse for the patient. Whitley saved a life today! She deserves to be honored because big or small she cares for all of her patients equally and with love! So glad I can have her on our team. I hope she gets nominated, she 100% deserves it! What a wonderful gal!
