Congratulations to Rachel Goode on winning the BEE Award for March 2023!

The BEE Award was created to celebrate CMC's amazing ancillary staff who go above and beyond in supporting the nursing care of our patients and families.  Rachel is so deserving of this award. Her story below tells of her swift response and heroic efforts to save one of our most precious patients! 

Please take a moment to read her amazing story: 

I would like to nominate Rachel Goode for the BEE award.
Rachel is a PCT on my floor. We have recently added to the duties to attend C sections and assist with the newborns while the mother is in the OR. Rachel recognized an infant that was not breathing and quickly removed it from the mother, called for help and placed the infant in the infant warmer while stimulating the baby to breathe. Her quick thinking and assistance while getting nurses to help saved the life of this newborn. She is a hero to us and went above and beyond to save this infant. I wanted to recognize her for this outstanding job and let her know how proud of her we were! We are so happy she is on our team!
