Colleen Spencer--Outstanding Preceptor Award Winner!

On February 19th, members of the Carilion Transition to Practice team visited CRBH Emergency Department to present the Outstanding Preceptor Award to Colleen Spencer, RN. 

Colleen's nomination reads "I have worked with Colleen for years but as her ED educator for the last three.  She is a role model on the unit and precepts most of the new hires.  She is very dedicated to this role and I see her adapting her teaching style as needed based on the orientees needs.  She helps to socialize them, making sure they feel comfortable with the other staff members that they will be working with.  She provides detailed feedback forms so that I can track the progress of the orientee."
