CNRV Daisy Award Winner

Congratulations to Raymart Gerena, RN with the Surgical Care Unit on winning the CNRV Daisy Award! Raymart's commitment and compassion is evident in the care he provides for each of his patients. Raymart gets many praises but here is what two patients had to say about him:

I would like to nominate for this award because of his attentiveness to my problem of getting the things that I needed to stay the night. Getting in my room late, close to shift change and I had slipped through the cracks, had nothing but my bed in a spot and left there. I got flustered and I hate to push that button but around 715pm I did. Raymart and Ruth came to see what I needed which were the basics of staying the night and Raymart immediately did a med check. He went over my medications with me, consulted about finishing an antibiotic that I had 1 more day to finish and had brought from home. He checked it all off, caught me up on meds and told me the schedule and meds that I would need to continue through the night. His understanding and compassion for his job and my needs were very evident to him. He’s an excellent nurse plus he’s a good all-around guy, cool dude for sure.  

Raymart is outstanding in every way! He is extremely polite, caring, and kind. He greeted me by name every time he entered the room. He explained what he was going to do and told me when he would be back. He was always accommodating with an assurance that he was happy to provide. Top notch in all respects!
