CNRV Celebrates Clean Hospitals Day 2024

Submitted by aabriggs on

Every year, healthcare-associated infections affect millions of patients globally, with many losing their lives or suffering severe consequences due to infections acquired during their hospital stay. These infections, including many that are resistant to antibiotics, are often preventable.

On Clean Hospitals Day, the importance of maintaining clean and safe healthcare environments is highlighted. This global initiative aims to raise awareness about the vital role of cleanliness in preventing infections and ensuring patient safety.

SPD

We would like to also highlight that this week is SPD week. Their diligence and hard work ensured that surgeries continued safely during the boil water notice and with minimal impact to our patients. Despite the challenging circumstances, their team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain the high level of cleanliness we expect was maintained. Your efforts did not go unnoticed. Thank you for your commitment to keeping our hospital clean.

Maintenance

We would like to thank our incredible maintenance department for their continued commitment to keeping our hospital clean even when we are faced with a challenge such as the recent loss of potable water to the facility. Their swift and efficient work from the beginning of the notice until it was lifted ensured both patients and staff were kept safe. Once the notice was lifted, your quick action ensured that we could return to normal operations in less than 48 hours. Maintenance’s constant hard work behind the scenes ensures we always have a clean and well-maintained facility.

EVS

Thank you to our incredible EVS team for their hard work and dedication in keeping our hospital clean and safe, especially following the termination of our recent boil water notice. We would not have been able to return to normal operations as quickly and efficiently without their hard work. Their efforts in maintaining a sanitary environment are crucial in preventing the spread of infections and disease. EVS are the unsung heroes for our patients, staff and visitors when it comes to ensuring a healthy and safe hospital.

Waste Management

Our amazing Floor Care and Waste Management Team is critical in keeping our hospital safe and clean. Their dedication to properly handling and disposing of waste is essential to preventing the spread of disease and maintaining a safe environment for our patients, visitors and staff. We are deeply appreciative of their hard work and commitment to high standards of care. Thank you to them for being an essential part of our healthcare team.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to SPD, EVS, and Maintenance during our recent boil water notice. Their efforts were essential to patient care, and we are deeply grateful for their hard work, adaptability and commitment to CNRV operations. We are grateful for their commitment to excellence and the vital role they each play in supporting our patients’ healing process.
