Clinical Informatics Sunshine Committee

The Carilion Clinical Informatics team created a special group called the Sunshine Committee. Its purpose is to embody Carilion's values by helping the communities we are a part of. We organize various projects for each season, and for this fall, we decided to bring some joy to the developmentally challenged students at Staunton River Middle School. These students couldn't join a traditional pumpkin patch field trip, so we brought the pumpkins and treats to them. It was a heartwarming experience for us, and we wanted to share this wonderful moment—it was just as inspiring for us as it was for the students we aimed to support.
