Submitted by ghbrooks on

This week, in recognition of Sepsis Awareness Month, members of our Quality and Patient Safety Team visited the Labor and Delivery Unit and the Mother Baby Unit at CRMH to conduct OB-specific Sepsis rounding—and what an incredible experience it was! We are proud to celebrate the participation, thoughtful engagement, and unwavering dedication of the staff on both units.

Your commitment to patient safety and excellence truly reflects the heart of our mission and the spirit of several of our Carilion values:

💪 Courage – You embraced the opportunity to answer questions, reflect, engage in meaningful dialogue, and tackle tough questions—all in pursuit of safer, stronger care.

🧠 Curiosity – You asked insightful questions and showed a genuine eagerness to deepen your understanding of OB-specific sepsis protocols, reinforcing our culture of continuous learning and improvement.

📌 Commitment – Your active involvement in these rounds demonstrates your steadfast dedication to protecting our patients and strengthening our practices.

Thank you for being champions of safety and shining examples of what it means to live our values every day. Let’s continue to lead with purpose and celebrate every step forward—together.
