Celebrating Our Volunteers!
This marks a great week for Carilion Clinic volunteers! From Roanoke to New River Valley to Franklin Memorial, Carilion Clinic has celebrated these wonderful team members as part of National Volunteer Week.
Roanoke Volunteer Manager Taylor Medley presided over a lovely program that saluted her volunteers with a dinner at the Vinton War Memorial. Rebecca LeBlanc, CRNV Guest and Volunteer Services manager, recognized her volunteers with a festive luncheon complete with beautiful live flowers at The Inn of Virginia Tech. Franklin Guest Services Manager Ronnie Altice presented certificates and personalized gifts to his volunteers.
On any given day, you can find volunteers making a difference across our Carilion landscape. They greet and escort patients, deliver flowers, rock babies, sit with the dying, serve snacks and coffee, work closely with staff on clinical units and share their beloved pets with patients and staff. When you see a volunteer, take a moment to say, “Thank you.”
