Celebrating 20 Years CAUTI & CLABSI Free at the CNRVMC Birthplace!
CNRVMC Birthplace staff were recognized and celebrated for an extraordinary milestone this week- 20 years without a single CAUTI or CLABSI case. This achievement reflects decades of commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence and the delivery of exceptional care to mothers and newborns in our community. It's a testament to the power of teamwork and dedication to evidence-based practice.
We want to especially recognize unit leadership, Wendy Worrell and Lillie McDonald, who have empowered the Birthplace team to consistently deliver the highest standard of care, often jumping in to work alongside staff and aid with higher acuity. Their support and dedication have created a culture where safe, proactive practices thrive.
We also want to highlight Rhonda Lambert, a labor and delivery nurse who's passion for maternal care has made a lasting impact. Rhonda has been instrumental in encouraging the early removal of Foley catheters, setting the tone for consistent prevention efforts across the unit.
Congratulations to the entire Birthplace Team for this well-earned recognition. Their hard work saves lives, reduces complications and supports healthier beginnings for so many families! Please join us in congratulating this team for an amazing achievement!
