Carilion Hospice Music Therapy Intern Passes Board Exam First Try!
Congratulations to Hannah Faulk, MT-BC on passing her American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) board exam! Hannah is the second music therapy intern to complete an internship with Carilion Clinic Hospice’s AMTA internship program AND pass her boards the first time! The current first-time pass rate is 61%, so this is a tremendous accomplishment.
In 2023, Carilion Clinic Hospice received national designation as an American Music Therapy Internship Association (AMTA) site. With only 150 sites across the country, Carilion Clinic Hospice offers an exceptional experience for students in the southeastern part of the country. We are thrilled that both of our music therapy interns successfully completed an internship and went on to pass their music therapy board exam the first try! This accomplishment reflects the unwavering support of Carilion Clinic Hospice’s three board-certified music therapists, Kelly Sweeney, Jesse Palmer, and Cece Varnum.
