Carilion EAP has been serving Carilion since 1984, helping physicians, nurses, employees and their dependent family members navigate challenges in life through provision of skilled care and access to a variety of resources including mental health care, addiction treatment, financial counseling, eldercare and childcare resources.

Many aren't aware that this small but mighty team also serves 73 other organizations with employees across our region, state, and nation. This allows us to contribute to the financial wellbeing of Carilion Clinic.

Carilion EAP is also integrated into The TRUST Team, providing over 2000 outreach calls to our healthcare team members experiencing adverse patient events and security events. Our highly skilled team impacts not only individual employees and their families, but teams, service lines, and leaders through consultation, team development, conflict resolution, critical incident response, grief support, seminars, and involvement in our internal wellbeing initiatives.
