Carilion Clinic Family Medicine Blacksburg - Planation Leardership Team GREAT WORK

I want to shout out to our leadership team in Blacksburg for a job well done!  As if things were not crazy enough with COVID...

There was a tornado warning issued in Blacksburg yesterday afternoon.  The public sirens were activated with a voice over the public loudspeakers repeatedly urging " this is a tornado warning, seek shelter immediately".  Our local team brought family members of patients from their cars in the parking lot into the building with masks.  The patients and their families were safely distanced in rooms within the inner part of the building.  The staff with masks went to safer areas in the clinic and basement while maintaining calm and the best possible social distancing.  Their concern for patient and staff safety as well as the collaboration and teamwork really made me proud of our Blacksburg team.
